Who We Are
Sepion Technologies, Inc. is a US-based advanced materials company headquartered in California. This policy covers the marketing website at sepiontechnologies.com only. It does not cover information you share with us through other channels (e.g. conference conversations, direct email, signed contracts), which are governed by the agreements in place between us.
Information You Provide
The Site collects information you choose to send us through the contact form. That typically includes your name, work email address, company, and the message you write. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and to keep an internal record of the conversation.
We do not require you to create an account to use the Site, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider records standard server-log information — IP address, user agent, referring URL, and timestamps — for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis. These logs are retained for a limited window and are not used to build behavioural profiles of individual visitors.
The Site does not currently load third-party analytics, ad, or social-tracking scripts. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the change noted in the “Changes” section below.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies may be used by the contact-form provider (Web3Forms) to handle anti-spam checks during a single form submission. No persistent identifiers are stored on your device by Sepion.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up by email.
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site — including diagnosing performance issues and preventing abuse.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
Service Providers and Sharing
We share limited information with the vendors who help us run the Site, including:
- Web3Forms — receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to a Sepion mailbox.
- Hostinger — hosts the Site and stores server logs.
These vendors are bound by their own privacy and security terms and only process information on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sepion or others.
Data Retention
Contact-form messages and any related correspondence are retained for as long as the business relationship is active and for a reasonable archival window thereafter. Server logs are retained for a shorter operational window. You may request deletion of personal information at any time using the contact details below; we will honour the request unless we are required to keep the information for legal or contractual reasons.
Security
Sepion uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or request portability. You can exercise these rights — or ask any question about how we handle your information — by emailing the address in the “Contact” section below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
California residents: Sepion does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we honour verifiable consumer requests for access and deletion.
EU/UK residents: The legal basis for our limited processing is either your consent (when you write to us through the contact form) or our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International Transfers
Sepion is based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Children
The Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, the Site, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice on the Site.
